Reminders

Reminders are a great way to get a little help remembering to do what needs to be done, whether it’s to throw dinner in the oven, or to call your mom on the weekend,

Reminders are best used to remind you of short term things (although you CAN set a reminder to remember something in six months – chances are you won’t be sitting near your Echo at that exact date and time.)

Also, keep in mind that reminders are tied to the device you set them on, so don’t expect to set a reminder in your kitchen and hear it on the living room Echo.  You will only hear the reminder on the Echo you set it on.

Setting reminders

Alexa, remind me to start making lunch at 11am.
Alexa, remind me to call the doctor and make an appointment at 9am tomorrow.

When it’s time for your reminder, Alexa chimes, and says “Here’s your reminder : Start making lunch.” – and then a few seconds later reminds you a second time.
